Our Story

The BiG Meow Cat Cafe, tucked away in the pages of a picture book, is a whimsical world where cats bake cookies, make friends, and help humans feel right at home.

The idea was inspired by Melbourne's first cat cafe, which was originally located 'down a small green lane in the middle of the city'. And, of course, the antics of a very mischievous tuxedo cat, Sylvester.

The idea became a story and the story became a book. And now, slowly, The BiG Meow is becoming something more. Whether you’re here to read, shop, or simply smile, we’re so glad you stopped by. Pull up a cushion, grab a cookie, and stay awhile. MEOW!
