Meet Sue

Sue Deutscher lives in Melbourne, Australia, with her husband, son, and two beautiful cats. She is a cat lady and has always had one, two, or three kitties in her home.

Originally a primary school teacher, Sue fell in love with picture books many years ago.

Recently, she decided to combine her love of 'picture books', 'cats' and 'cat cafes' and began to write and illustrate the ongoing story of The BiG Meow.

After several years in the classroom, Sue worked as a writer, editor, and designer of training materials. She was also interested in opening a cat cafe.
