While cats are not yet counted as official viewers, it's not uncommon for some kitties to watch TV. The most popular programs are usually of birds, rodents and fish - all natural prey for felines.
Why do cats like TV? They are often attracted to the quick movements of objects across the screen. And, in some cases, they are just bored.
A warning . . . If your cat becomes too engrossed in the video, they might try to go after the critter on the telly. If this happens, either your kitty or the flat-screen TV could get hurt.
To avoid this:
Never let kitty watch the TV unsupervised.
If you have a large flat screen, mount it to the wall.
Try to interact with kitty while they are watching TV so that they don't get too frustrated when they cannot catch their prey.
Here are three videos for your cat to try - all produced by Paul Dinning Wildlife. Enjoy!
